Tennis like table-tennis became a full medal sport only at Seoul 1988 Games. United States and Spain have dominated the medal tally. India has sent 25 players since 1988 to represent them. The lone shining star is the bronze medal in Men’s Singles brought home by a 19-year old Leander Paes. Leander continues to represent India in Men Doubles at Rio 2016.
