Apurvi is a very talented rifle shooter who has made a mark for herself with consistent performances.
She won the Gold medal in the Senior National Championship in 2012, her first year in the senior circuit.
She won a Gold and a Bronze medal at the 35th Inter-shoot competition in the Netherlands in March 2014.

At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Apurvi won a Gold medal in the 10 m Air Rifle event with a games record score in qualification and in the finals.

She became the first Indian woman to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics when she won the Bronze medal and an Olympic quota at the World Cup in Changwon, South Korea 2015.
